New Martinsville Animal Hospital is seeking a full or part-time small animal veterinarian to join our team! Our practice is rapidly growing and so is the economic industry around us. Amy Urbanek, DVM, MPH, a 2012 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, built and established the practice from the ground up in 2017. She is currently the only DVM practicing at the hospital (6 days/week) and is ready to add an associate to continue to meet the growing need for high quality veterinary care in the area. Candidate must be friendly, eager, self motivated, and be passionate about the veterinary profession. Practice is located on the Ohio River, in the beautiful Ohio Valley, 2.5hrs from Columbus, OH and 1.5hrs from Pittsburgh, PA. Practice has 3 exam rooms, separate isolation, and electronic cloud-based medical records. Practice is well equipped with full in-house Idexx laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, full anesthesia monitoring (including EKG and end tidal CO2), dental unit, Companion class IV therapy laser, and electrocautery. New Graduates welcome!! Great mentoring opportunity, we see a diverse case-load and have a high number of elective surgeries. There is only 1 other small clinic within a 50 minute driving radius. In order to preserve good work-life balance we close by 5pm and do not see after-hours emergencies! Compensation based on experience, with production based pay an option as well. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication, be compassionate, a team player, have a strong work ethic, and have a sense of humor! Must have DVM degree, or equivalent, and be able to obtain WV state licensing. Candidate would be responsible for seeing regularly scheduled appointments, as well as occasional walk-ins and/or emergencies throughout the day. Proficient and efficient with spay/neuter surgeries a plus! Candidate must be able to multi-task while still providing the best veterinary care possible, educating clients, documenting and keeping thorough medical records, and caring for their patients like they were their own pets.
