We are looking for a compassionate veterinarian to be a part of our cohesive team and help us continue to form strong bonds with our clients and our patients. We are full-service hospitals, with all the staff and equipment needed to provide excellent patient care including digital and digital dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house lab, extensive surgical capabilities and monitoring equipment. We have a very supportive staff of technicians, assistants and client service representatives. Our hospitals have become part of the fabric of our community, supporting local animal rescues, the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation and non-profit organizations that benefit the health and well-being of many individuals and families in Ventura County.
Experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome. Mentoring is provided and collaborating with colleagues is encouraged.
We offer a generous ProSal compensation, health insurance, profit sharing (fully funded by the hospitals), 2 weeks paid time off, paid holidays, a uniform allowance, 1-week paid CE and CE budget, paid association dues and a $10,000 signing bonus.
Our area has year-round beautiful weather and is located just south of Santa Barbara and Ojai and just north of Malibu. It’s a perfect community in which to start a career on the coast of California, with its wine tours and tasting, nightlife and dining, arts and culture, shopping, beach and harbor activities (such as surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, fishing and whale watching), year-round outdoor recreation and pet-friendly communities.
Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital has been providing compassionate and progressive veterinary care for dogs and cats since 1987. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with much of the same equipment and tools seen in human hospitals. This allows our doctors and staff to offer comprehensive physical examinations, medical treatment and consultations, routine and advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, oncology, diagnostic tests, laboratory analysis, and emergency services. Our goal is for our patients to be happy and healthy with a good quality of life. We place heavy emphasis on preventive healthcare and maintenance, including vaccines, parasite control, dental cleanings and nutritional counseling. We provide everything our patients need, from standard check-ups and boarding to major surgery, hospitalization and intensive care. We care for our clients' pets as if they were our own.
