Peake Brook Veterinary Center is privately owned by myself, a full-time veterinarian, who works full-time at the practice. Our brand new 6500 square foot facility is state of the art. We are located in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut, conveniently located approximately 1 hour from Boston, Hartford and Providence. The clinic is located on a beautiful, park like setting, situated on 4 acres, surrounded by farmland.

Our clinic is very thoughtfully designed. The large reception area has an amazing view of adjacent farmland and has separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. There are 7 exam rooms with a separate euthanasia suite complete with a private entrance/exit. The euthanasia suite also functions as an isolation exam room for potentially contagious patients. All exam rooms are tastefully decorated and well-lit with large fold up exam tables.

The clinic has a dedicated surgery wing with a separate surgery entrance with parking spaces for surgical intake and discharge. There are two spacious surgery rooms with beautiful natural light as well as dual headed LED exam lights. Oxygen and waste gas are plumbed to every room. Surgery tables are heated, and each have foot pedals for easy patient adjustment. Cats and dogs have separate accommodations. Each room in the surgery wing has large viewing windows. Surgery wing rooms are insulated with wool insulation maximum sound reduction. There are runs for recovery/housing of large dogs. There is a separate dental suite/special procedures room with digital dental radiography.

The radiology room is in close proximity to the operating rooms and furnished with digital radiography. It has a 4-way float table for easy patient adjustment.

We have a well-equipped lab with IDEXX laboratory equipment. We also have daily pickup from IDEXX.

In addition to this beautiful brick and mortar clinic, we also have an extremely busy mobile practice, with lots of room for expansion. Dr. Gwenn Mobile Vet is a full-service veterinary clinic, based out of a 26-foot custom built Laboit Mobile Veterinary Clinic, complete with digital radiology and a surgery suite.

We are currently looking for a 2-3 full-time or part-time veterinarians. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong mentorship available. Interest in surgery preferred, but not required. Experience with ultrasound a plus. Superior communication skills required, both with clients and other employees. Ability to work as a team player is key.
