Pacific Care Pet Emergency & Specialty - Irvine, CA.
Emergency veterinarian wanted for our 24 hour practice consisting of emergency walk-ins and transfers as well as hospitalized in house specialty referral patients (Internal Medicine ICU & Surgical Recovery). This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment that fosters collaboration, continued learning, skill improvement and teamwork. We seek compassionate, dedicated overnight doctors looking to complete their schedule with anywhere from 8-12 shifts each month.
OVERNIGHT / ER / SPECIALTY 24 HOUR experience is required, with a preference to those that have completed internships and/or residency programs in Emergency / Internal Medicine / Surgery and a proven track record with references. CALIFORNIA State Licensure, ability to lift 40 lbs, compliance with all laws and regulations governing practice of veterinary medicine in CA, compliance with all Labor & HR rules and regulations governing employment in the state of CA. Detailed CV & Letter of Interest, minimum 2 Years ER Experience.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly as part of a team; Ability to work a long, often demanding shift from 6 PM to 8 AM and/or weekend days. Must be able to think under pressure, make rapid decisions, triage, clarify options to clients through clear communication, and do all with emotional intelligence.
Enjoy people & pets, with a commitment to the human-animal bond. Direct and oversee the work of veterinary technicians as needed.
Must be technologically savvy, able to grasp new practice management software systems, electronic medical records, able to type and talk at the same time, able to create flow sheets as instructed (in Excel), able to share information via Email, text etc. Must be comfortable with in-house labs, DR, interpreting DR images that come from outside practices etc.
Two years ER experience.
Internship-trained preferred.
Current State of California license.
