We are seeking Veterinary Students to participate in an externship at our progressive small animal practice in Cypress Texas. Our hospital features state of the art medical equipment including a full in-house laboratory with IDEXX equipment (Procyte, two Catalyst chemistry analyzers, Coag analyzer, Sedivue urinalysis) and an Abaxis iSTAT analyzer, full digital radiology, digital dental radiology, on-site and specialty ultrasound, Companion Therapy Laser unit, Snyder Critical Care unit and advanced surgical equipment, including the Vetovation Voyant vessel sealing system. Our hospital is a paperless clinic utilizing Cornerstone software.

Our veterinarians enjoy a diverse, inclusive, privately owned work-place where professional well-being, mentorship and high-level medical care are nurtured. Veterinary students participating in an externship may expect a high degree of mentorship and the ability to expand their knowledge in small animal general practice, surgery and emergency medicine. Our hospital is a hybrid hospital practicing advanced small animal medical care and dentistry, as well as advanced emergency medical care. Veterinary students with a special interest in dentistry, surgery and/or emergency care are encouraged to apply, but an interest in these areas is not required. At this time, our hospital does not see exotic pets.

Veterinary students will be offered a stipend as well as housing option if needed.

Cypress Texas is located in the northwest region of Houston, Texas. Cypress is a rapidly growing community between the energy corridors of Katy and the Woodlands with easy access to the amenities of downtown Houston. Cypress is home to wonderful schools in the award-winning Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. Our hospital in located within the center of 5 master-planned communities, including Bridgeland, Townelake, Cypress Creek Lakes, Blackhorse and Canyon Lakes communities.

Our practice is a hybrid practice, offering complete medical services as well as advanced medical care and emergency services to patients.
