With 146 years of valued service to the equine industry of Central Kentucky, Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is looking to grow its team with a dedicated emergency ambulatory veterinary team. The ideal candidate(s) will be eager to build this new service within the well-established practice working in a collaborative manner with clients and primary care veterinarians to ensure patients receive excellent care in the most expedient manner possible. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of two years experience as a veterinarian with expertise in ambulatory/field care and emergency services.
Successful applicants will work a rotating overnight and weekend shifts to provide full emergency coverage in support of and in conjunction with the ambulatory/field services team, which includes a DACVIM. An ambulatory veterinary vehicle is provided to include appropriate stock and diagnostic equipment.
Located in the "Horse Capital of the World" with a high density of Thoroughbred and Standard bred breeding farms as well as a variety of Sport Horse farms (to include: Saddlebred, eventing, hunter/jumper, and dressage), Central Kentucky offers plenty of retail, dining, distillery/brewery, and outdoor activities appealing to a variety of interests.
