We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time overnight emergency doctor in our busy Emergency and Critical Care Department that currently includes 3 DACVECCs, 3 doctors who are residency trained in E/CC, and 12 full-time emergency staff doctors.
Full time equivalent is 14 shifts per month and may include day and/or swing shifts. Weekend shifts are shared equally among all department members.
Friendship typically has 45-50 urgent care outpatients and 25-30 inpatients daily.
The applicant should possess excellent communication skills, a focus on teamwork and collaboration and an interest in building client relationships.
· Minor surgical procedures, such as laceration and bite wound management
· Caring for in-hospital patients in the ICU and Progressive Care Unit
· Collaborating with specialists and general practitioners to ensure the best care for all patients
· Communicating with clients
· Mentoring rotating interns
· Communicating with referring veterinarians
· Training and mentoring support staff

We have MRI, CT, a separate dedicated ICU, long-term ventilator capability, and hemodialysis onsite.
