Dr. Marshall’s influence on the veterinary field and commitment to mentorship
Dr. Gary Marshall is a past-president of the Washington State VMA and serves in the House of Delegates for the AVMA, as a Board member for the Women's Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative, and is part of a joint AVMA/AAVMC Advisory Group of the Commission for a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Veterinary Profession. As an adjunct professor for Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Marshall hosts 4th year students at Island Cats during clinical rotations and is often asked to share his expertise at WSUCVM and national CE events. Additionally, he ensures our hospital participates in clinical trials advancing nutritional and pharmaceutical knowledge for the care of future patients. All this combines to create the best facility for feline patients to receive care, and for newly graduated veterinarians and experienced veterinarians to receive top quality mentoring and to thrive in their careers.
