If so we are hiring for an associate veterinary position at our modern companion animal practice. Our practice has all the equipment and amenities a small animal veterinarian could need. We are NOT a corporation owned hospital.

Our new hospital location opened spring 2025 and is 8,200 sq ft. The new building has everything a veterinarian would want or need to practice high quality medicine. Each associate is assigned to work 4 days a week, with one of those days being a dedicated procedure day. We have 4-5 full time associates, almost every day there is overlap where multiple vets are working together.

This position listed is for a general practice position that involves a mix of wellness and emergency/urgent care appointments. We do see a higher volume of urgent care appointments and emergencies than most general practices, due to our non-urban location.

About Silverthorne Veterinary Hospital

Silverthorne Veterinary Hospital opened in 2017. We are a large modern hospital that sees approximately 85% dogs, 15% cats. Due to our location as a mountain ski town with a high average income our clients allow for us to practice excellent medicine. Most of our veterinary technicians are certified (CVTs). Our hospital has a digital radiograph system, in house blood testing including coag times, two digital dental x-rays, 3 ultrasounds, tonometry and a surgical suite with a ligasure and cautery unit. We have access to several specialists who come to our hospital as needed including a board certified surgeon, radiologist and cardiologist. We are located in Summit county which has excellent skiiing, hiking, camping, mountain/road biking, boating and fishing. Our hospital is a 20 minute drive from 4 ski resorts and is next to both a bike path and the Blue River, which has excellent trout fishing. On your lunch break you can take a walk down the river or fish! The large Dillon Reservoir is less than a mile away. Our location is excellent for an active person with a love of the outdoors. We are also a 1 hour drive west of Denver, allowing for an easy drive to the international airport, sports arenas or concert venues such as Red Rocks.
